It is inspired by a vintage chore jacket popularized during the Industrial Revolution, the first jacket made solely for workwear purposes. We have taken that same functionality mindset, upgraded it, and utilized our selvedge denim, which is shown at the opening of the concealed front placket pocket.

All of our Japanese selvedge is woven on old narrow shuttle looms, a process that requires precision and skill. This 18th century old technique creates a distinctive finished edge that prevents the fabric from unraveling—a badge of honor that sets it apart from mass-produced textiles. With its rich history and superior craftsmanship, wearing this is a symbol of quality and should be worn with pride. .
